Inspired by the place names of Scotland. Scotland has a rich history and many of its cities, towns, boroughs, villages and hamlets are named after that heritage. The names are geographically placed. (Apologies if your not included, we tried to get as many interesting and unheard of places as we could.)
Urban pirate formed in Glasgow in 2010, the proud conception of David Dow.
They are a small (but perfectly formed) independent crew, who specialise in unique printed textiles of the highest quality.
Obsessed with Scottish culture old & new. Their style is a strong brew of heritage & Scotland today. They continue to be inspired by the awesome imagery & landscape that surrounds us.
The result, a range of clothing & textiles that proudly shouts about the quality of homegrown design.
Each range is hand screen printed by traditional methods & our tea towels & aprons are made from the highest quality organic cotton which is ethically sourced.
They strive to keep their carbon footprint as small as possible, everything they print is made locally in Glasgow, Scotland, or if absolutely necessary within the UK.
